FERNDALE, Mich. -- Police say a first date went from bad to worse when a Detroit man skipped out on the restaurant bill, then stole his date's car.
Twenty-three-year-old Terrance Dejuan McCoy was bound over Thursday to face trial in Oakland County Circuit Court on a charge of unlawfully driving away the woman's car, a five-year felony. McCoy waived a preliminary exam in the case.
Police say McCoy dined with the 27-year-old Southfield woman April 24 at Buffalo Wild Wings in Ferndale.
The Daily Tribune of Royal Oak reports the woman told police McCoy said he left his wallet in her car and asked for her keys. He then sped away in the 2000 Chevrolet Impala.
Police identified McCoy using a photo he earlier sent to the woman's cell phone, as well as his phone number.

As WND has reported, Americans have been flocking to lawmakers' health-care town hall meetings, typically voicing loud displeasure with the ever-expanding size of the federal government and what many see as yet another intrusive expansion.
All across the country, legislators coming to their home districts in attempt to sell the health-care plan to constituents are being met with fierce opposition and huge crowds:
Rep. Steny Hoyer, D-Md., was confronted by self-described Democrats who accused their representative of lying about health reform and protested, "Why would you try to stuff a health-care plan down our throats in a couple days when the president took six months to pick a dog for his kids?"
In Mehlville, Mo., protesters lined up around the block of the Bernard Middle School gym where Rep. Russ Carnahan, D-Mo., had planned a public forum. When hundreds were left standing on the street, they remained outside into the evening. Eventually, a union representative reportedly assaulted one of the protesters, Kenneth Gladney, which lead to six arrests, including a St. Louis Post-Dispatch reporter. Gladney later appeared in an interview on the Fox News Channel explaining the attack, which drew national attention.
A video posted on YouTube, one of many from around the country, reportedly shows several hundreds standing outside in a stunningly long line, waiting to get into a packed town hall meeting on health care with Rep. Hank Johnson, D-Ga.
WND reported the story of Mike Sola, a Michigan father who confronted Dingell in a separate meeting over what he feared Obamacare would do to his handicapped adult son. Sola later reported he was threatened at his home, at night, by supporters of the government health-care plan.
At a health-care town hall event in Syracuse, N.Y., in July, police were called in to restore order, and at least one heckler was taken away by local police.
Close to 100 sign-carrying protesters greeted Rep. Allen Boyd, D-Fla., at a late June community college small-business development forum in Panama City, Fla.
Danville, Va., anti-tax tea party activists claimed they were "refused an opportunity" to ask Rep. Thomas Perriello, D-Va., a question at a town hall event and instructed by a plainclothes police officer to leave the property after they attempted to hold up protest signs.
A handful of New York's congressmen, including Democrats Brian Higgins and Louise Slaughter and Republican Chris Lee, have shunned the town hall meetings altogether, opting instead for telephone meetings or no meetings at all.
The constituents of Rep. John Tanner, D-Tenn., unable to access their representative through a town hall meeting, created a video charging that Tanner has met with Michael Moore and Fidel Castro, "But he won't meet his constituents in the 8th District to talk about health care."
Meanwhile, as WND reported, pre-written questions from participants with track records of campaigning and organizing for Obama have led some to believe the president has been stacking his own town halls with "plants." The practice, some allege, may also be in use at other, purportedly open public forums.
The biggest source of protests are the health-care bill, the $787 billion economic stimulus package and the cap-and-trade legislation. They're also angry about Barack Obama's refusal to release his birth certificate to prove he is a "natural born citizen" and constitutionally eligible to serve in the White House.
According to an Associated Press report, Obama's top political adviser, David Axelrod, showed Senators in D.C. video of some of the boisterous town-hall meetings and discussed how to respond to disruptions.
"It's a challenge, no question about it, and you've got to get out there and make the case," Sen. Christopher Dodd, D-Conn., said afterward. "This is not the time for the faint-hearted."
This video was taken on Tuesday, August 25th, 2009 at Rep. Jim Moran's (D-VA) Town Hall meeting on Obama Deathcare (Howie Dean was there too) held at South Lakes High School in Reston, VA.
Many people were left outside when the school filled to capacity. School security officer Wesley Cheeks, Jr. did not like my anti-Obamacare poster which used one of the gone-viral "Joker" graphics.
When I said to Officer Cheeks, "This used to be America!" his response was: "It ain't no more, OK?"
I feel sorry for "Officer" Cheeks. He, like many Africoon-Americans are being played by the racist Obama administration. Wake up people. They used to want you only for your votes, but now with the huge hispanic illegals pouring in they won't even need you for that.
A diverse jury has been selected for the trial of Letalvis Cobbins, the first for the suspects accused of carjacking, raping and murdering a young Knoxville couple, Channon Christian and Christopher Newsom, in 2007.
Who's in the jury?
The 12 jurors are: one Asian man, two black men, one white man, one Hispanic man, five black women and two white women.
Four men were chosen to serve as alternates. Three are white and one is black.
Trial start time, jury sequestered.
The jury will be brought from Davidson County, where they were selected due to the enormous amount of pre-trial publicity, to Knoxville on Sunday and sequestered. The trial begins Monday.
Judge Richard Baumgartner warned the jury that if they don't comply with the rules of being sequestered, they could cause a mistrial.
However, the court said jurors will get some social time during the trial, in the form of a movie outing.
Details of crimes, suspect claims laid out during selection process
The jurors were chosen after the pool was questioned in groups Friday.
The prosecution and the defense both were allowed to strike 15 people each from the jury pool without giving a reason.
Prosecutors told the court there will be no eyewitnesses in Cobbins' trial and their case is based on circumstantial evidence.
Assistant District Attorney Takisha Fitzgerald also said jurors may not like the lifestyles of many of the witnesses who will testify, but don't judge them.
Fitzgerald assured the jury pool that the issue of race will come up in Cobbins' trial.
In a statement to police, Cobbins said he's charged with killing some rich white folks, Fitzgerald said, adding that Cobbins is poor and the victims were financially well off.
Fitzgerald told the jury pool to ignore the issue of race.
Defense attorney Scott Green said, "Let's get one thing perfectly clear. Race has nothing to do with this case. We are not going to bring it up and I trust the state won't bring it up."
Three other suspects are charged in the case: Lemaricus Davidson, George Thomas and Vanessa Coleman. They're all black. The victims were white.
The defense told the jury pool Cobbins made bad choices in this case, but he's not a killer. Green blames Eric Boyd, who was convicted last year as an accessory, for killing Newsom and Davidson for killing Christian.
The defense said Davidson's fingerprints were on the trash can where Christian's body was found in an East Knoxville home and no DNA evidence links Cobbins to Newsom.
Also, Cobbins' defense said Davidson was the ringleader and was abusive and manipulative to Cobbins, his half brother. Cobbins had no idea what Davidson, who's 6'4 and 200 pounds, and Boyd were about to do, his attorneys said.
The defense showed the jury pool some pictures of the victims, saying it would lessen the blow during the trial.
Newsom's body was found burned and bound along a set of railroad tracks. The medical examiner said he'd been repeatedly raped, beaten and shot.
Christian's body indicted she'd been repeatedly raped, beaten, cleaner was poured down her throat and she suffocated in that trash can, according to the medical examiner.
After seeing the pictures, two members of the jury pool asked to be dismissed. One of them, a man said, "It just upsets me to see that. It kind of makes me a little angry. I just can't understand how anybody could be a part of anything like that."
Those two were dismissed.
Cobbins is in Nashville for the selection process. At times, he was busy studying paperwork at the table with his attorneys.

An internet watch group has expressed alarm over the rising number of right-wing extremist websites in Germany, amid concerns of extremism spreading across Europe.
Germany's right-wing extremist scene is developing a professional, media-savvy internet presence, using the internet as a leading platform for spreading propaganda, the Jugendschutz.net said in its annual report.
The report added that the web supplies extremist providers with the option of changing their web address to avoid scrutiny, so that keeping up with all the neo-Nazi websites available on the World Wide Web (currently over 1,707) is virtually impossible.
Another problem faced by watchdogs in reporting a website to be removed from the net by proper authorities is that in some countries, such as the United States, "right-wing material is protected by the first amendment," the report said.
The 2002-founded watchdog, which is tasked with uprooting inappropriate internet material that target a young audience, contacts the web provider or passes the details to the police in case of illegal internet portals.
"They have websites which are quite modern, which are hip, which are interesting for young people. Videos and music are important factors, and they use all the common web 2.0 platforms: social networks and video platforms to put out their propaganda," the watchdog head, Stefan Glaser, said Saturday.
Glaser said a main concern was that the new subtlety in design means the young people would not be able to clearly distinguish when they enter a neo-Nazi site.
Figures from Germany's domestic intelligence agency also showed that the number of far-right crimes in Germany increased by 16 percent in 2008, Spiegel reported in May.
The European Parliament election in June was marred by record low turn-outs and gains for center-right and right-wing parties across the continent.
Analyst linked both to the economic downturn and public disillusionment with their leftist governments over various unpopular ventures, such as the military mission in Afghanistan.

White Reference: American Pro-White Videographer Craig Cobb Rejected For Asylum In Finland, Threatened With Expulsion From Estonia; Podblanc Will Be Unaffected
Craig Cobb discloses that he received a 2 and 1/2 hour trial in Estonia where they concluded that he endangered public security, public order, public safety, moral standards, health of other persons or some other relevent public interests, rejecting his application for asylum in Estonia and expelling him from the country. However, he has not yet been physically removed from the country; he's locked down in jail until September 16th. He has cash and an American passport.
During June 2009, I first heard shadowy reports about longtime pro-White videographer Craig Cobb, who was seemingly living in Estonia without any official government harassment, suddenly applying for political asylum in Finland. However, coherent reports weren't available at the time, and so I could not run with the story.
This has changed. We now have more details available, and so I have enough to publish a post on this situation. Primary references for this post include this VNN Forum thread and this post on Podblanc.
Craig Cobb is a longtime pro-White activist. His activities range from showing up at different pro-White rallies like the October 2005 Kingston, NY rally for Robbie Hedrick to distributing pro-White literature wherever and whenever appropriate. Seeing the potential for a video outreach, he soon branched out into serious video activism and formed the Podblanc video hosting site where politically-incorrect videos can be hosted without fear of removal. Three years ago, Cobb re-located to Estonia, not only because it is a Whiter nation, but to escape growing suppression of the pro-White movement in America.
And all appeared to be well - until 2009. Apparently the Estonian authorities started harassing Cobb over his pro-White activism, because on June 2nd, he traveled to Finland and requested political asylum. Cobb claimed asylum protection based upon four principles; religion (WCOTC/Creativity), race (indigenous White), membership in social groups (White Nationalists), and political opinion (free speech).
On the Podblanc post, Cobb relates some interesting anecdotes about his sojourn in Helsinki, Finland. He notes that, although Finland remains overwhelmingly White, there are visible signs of growing non-white infestation in Helsinki itself. You'd be surprised at the variety of subhuman detritus also seeking asylum in Finland; they include Iraqis, Kurds, Gypsies, Nigerians, Sudanese, Somalis, Gambians, Congolese, and even Albanians (who stole Kosovo from the Serbs). In addition, Cobb also witnessed young Finnish whites in the streets trying to get Finns to "tithe their incomes to UNICEF non-White spawn". He also refers to an appalling cultural event called "Miss Africa-Finland".
Particularly noteworthy was Cobb's encounter with a Gypsy. In this instance, Cobb was nearly attacked by a 15 or 16 year old gypsy at the train station as he held his open Macbook and recorded. He baited Cobb by accusing him of stealing the computer. Being that the Gypsy was just a punk, Cobb said, “Yeah, I just stole it and they are floowling me right now”. At this, the Gypsy reportedly told Cobb “You stole my friends computer!”, and repeatedly physically threatened him with this age-old shit gypsy ruse. Cobb had to push the Gypsy back by his neck at one point and ask him a number of times if he understood that if he (Cobb) cut his jugular, he would have two and a half minutes to live, and if he thought the ambulance could possibly arrive in less than two and a half minutes. Things simmered down shortly thereafter. But many Eastern European patriots consider Gypsies to be malodorous, conniving, manipulative subhuman scum, and having observed them for myself during my military service in the U.K. from 1983-7, I can vouch for that.
However, Cobb only had to put up with multi-culti Helsinki for 14 days, for it was at that point that Finland rejected Cobb's application for political asylum, and deported him back to Estonia, where he immediately applied for asylum. Initially, conditions looked promising, as the Estonian authorities seemed attentive to the political threats faced by pro-White activists, particularly when Cobb told them about the harassment by the SPLC and ADL. However, Cobb has since disclosed that Estonia has rejected his asylum application and jailed him. They called him racist, and said there is now a ten-year ban on him in Estonia retroactive to February 2007. They also said in court that Sweden had some trial in absentia against him. It looks like Cobb has done two YouTube videos discussing this and other issues; they are embedded below:
Note that these videos were made on June 26th, long before Hal Turner admitted he was an FBI informant. It is not known whether Cobb's favorable attitude towards Turner has been affected by the disclosure.
However, Cobb has dual citizenship and he believes he will be deported to Canada rather than the USA. Estonian law allows one to choose if one has rights to more than one country. Cobb gives four reasons why he leans towards Canada:
(1). By verbal agreement with the Podblanc cell, his partial ownership in Podblanc is forfeited when he is one second outside Canadian air space and about to enter Canada. This means Podblanc can survive any measures taken against Craig Cobb.
(2). Canadians need help with their Hasbara hate laws
(3). Any Canadian thought or speech crimes committed by Cobb were outside Canadian territory.
(4). He can more rapidly earn money to go to South America or Serbia or Belarus – or any other country more favorably disposed towards free speech and pro-White activism.
Also visit Craig Cobb's YouTube Deprogram Channel for more of his videos. Even though YouTube is unfriendly towards pro-White videos, that will not stop a proven activist like Cobb from attempting to use it.

Lions in Cameroon are having their kills stolen from under their noses by hungry "villagers".
Incidences of such kleptoparasitism, the stealing of food from another, usually occur between top predators such as lion, hyena and cheetah.
But nogs are increasingly getting in on the act, conservationists say.
They suspect the practice may be much more common than thought, and are concerned that it could threaten the dwindling numbers of lions in Cameroon.
An account of one particular incident where local "villagers" were caught stealing meat from a lion kill has been published in the African Journal of Ecology.
On the morning of the 28 March 2006, biologist Marjolein Schoe of Leiden University in The Netherlands and colleagues were tracking a male lion fitted with a radio collar in Benoue National Park, in the Northern Province of Cameroon
They found him and a collared female lion both feeding on a newly killed Western hartebeest antelope.
As Schoe's vehicle approached, both lions fled into nearby thicket where they remained hidden until the researchers left.
Around 5pm that afternoon, the researchers returned to the site of the kill.
As they arrived, they encountered several local "villagers", who also ran away and hid in the bush.
All the remaining meat on the hartebeest carcass had been stripped away by knife, leaving only the head, feet and a few remains. Leaves also littered the carcass, suggesting that the whoever had cut away the meat had used leaves to package it.
Near to the hartebeest also lay a wooden pole, further evidence that nogs had been scavenging from the kill.
"Marjolein Schoe was involved in fieldwork and she actually made this field observation. She was surprised and angry actually that nogs had chased off the lions," says colleague Hans de Iongh of Leiden University, who is also a member of the World Conservation Union's Cat Specialist Group and the African Lion Working Group.
"Although this observation did not fit in the main objective of the [original] study, we decided to publish it, since such events are rarely observed."
Large predators, such as lions, spotted hyenas, African wild dogs and cheetahs routinely steal fresh kills from one another, a behaviour known as kleptoparasitism.
But de Iongh says he has come across another incidence in Cameroon's Waza National Park where nogs chased away lions from a newly killed roan antelope, before taking the meat.
Further research by de Iongh, Schoe and colleague Barbara Croes also suggests that the practise of stealing lion kills may be more prevalent than thought.
"From interviews with Bororo herdsmen, we have learned that it is a common habit among this tribe to chase away lions from fresh kills, with sticks or with fire," says de Iongh.
Other lion researchers across Africa have also provided de Iongh's team with anecdotal reports of nogs stealing meat from lion kills.
"This suggests that it may be more common practice than we think," says de Iongh.
Nogs are stealing the meat to get an easy source of protein, say the researchers, as lions may be wary enough of people to be easily scared off their kills.
But the researchers fear that stealing the lions' food may have a detrimental impact on the big cats.
"We believe that the impact of this kind of behaviour might be significant on lion populations, since lions have to spent an enormous energy effort to capture the same amount of prey, if their prey gets stolen," says de Iongh. "This may have a serious impact on a lion population which is already under serious stress by primate encroachment and may eventually contribute to more rapid extinction."
In Waza National Park, for example, the population of lions is thought to have declined from 50 to 60 animals in the 1990s to between 12 and 20 in 2008, when the last survey was conducted.
Considering that an estimated six lions are killed each year by livestock owners and poachers, de Iongh and his colleagues fear that lions in the park are on the verge of going extinct.
